Today, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: the… oh forget it, i’m getting tired of this long name! Came out.

A twelve-year-old named Percy Jackson (played by Logan Lerman) discovers that he’s the demigod son of the Greek god, Poseidon (played by Kevin McKidd). He embarks on a journey across modern-day America to go to the Underworld (He also finds three pearls to get out) with his friends Annabeth Chase (played by Alexandra Daddario), the demigod daughter of Athena, and Grover Underwood (played by Brandon T. Jackson), a satyr. Their objective by going to the Underworld is to save his mother (played by Catherine Keener), return Zeus’ (played by Sean Bean) stolen lightning bolt, and prevent a war between the gods.[3][4][5] They first go to Aunty Em’s Garden Emporium, which has the first pearl (they know it from a map they got from Luke) and find out that Aunty Em is actually Medusa. They kill Medusa using a car and Percy using Riptide (a sword Chiron, played by Pierce Brosnan, gave him). They then go to The Parthenon replica in Nashville, Tennesse. During the night they find the security guards are actually the Hydra. They use Medusa’s head to freeze it. Meanwhile, a storm cloud is overlooking the world. They then go to the Lotus Casino (later revealed to be the land of the lotus eaters). They eat a lotus flower and want to stay there for a night. Percy finally wakes up and gets them and another pearl out on the road to the famous Hollywood sign. They find the entrance to the Underworld there. It is revealed that the shield Luke gave them has the bolt in it. Persephone stops Hades from killing them after Percy finds his mom. They leave Grover back at the Underworld. They find themselves at Mount Olympus 10 minutes befor midnight. 8 minutes pass after Percy fights in a hard battle with Luke. Percy wins. They make it just in time. Zeus now thinks Luke did steal the bolt and releases Grover. Percy finds out that his mom divorced Gabe. During the credits Gabe moves in by himself. Ignoring the warning by Percy, he gets turned into stone by Medusa’s head.
This movie looks very good. One of my friends did a book report on the book that this movie was based on by Rick Riordan and it sounded like a good book. Hopefully the movie is as good (though it usually isn’t, but I haven’t actually read it just been read a report of it so I might not care as much).
