Hey everyone! Some of you may have noticed that we haven’t been posting in a while. Well, that’s because we were working on a brand new website! This one is a .com!! It’s very cool, a fresh new layout, photo gallery and much more. It also has a translator to read our blogs in 45 different languages, tell your international friends!!
All the posts from this site are on the site plus every post on the DATT network will be on the new site from now on. However, this site will remain live so you may browse it instead if you wish.
A couple notes: Every single imported picture on the new site, though hosted there, still links back to this site. Sorry about this! I pondered if we should take the time to change them over but decided it’s not worth the time. All pictures are still displayed, they just link back to this site. Another thing is that youtube videos on imported posts will not show up. I am going to be working to change those over, however because most posts with a video have no other form of media and also, you want to just watch trailers and such right in our blog.
So yes it’s pretty exciting to have a new site! Self-hosted sites are much more customizable than this one and include other cool things: we can post youtube videos HD size instead of the regular square size on this site, also we have no limits for the amount of pictures uploaded. One more thing is as I said before, it’s more customizable meaning we can add some cool things to the sidebar or whatever, and we can embed any flash such as MTV videos. More benefits of a self-hosted site is that we can have other cool sections (like the photo gallery) and of course, it’s shorter to type in to your address bar
